Find easy tips to remove sticky, messy barbeque sauce stains from clothes, carpet and upholstery.
Read garment care label. Do not use OxiClean™ Max Force™ Laundry Stain Remover Spray on silk, wool, leather, or dry clean only items. Test on an inconspicuous area, such as an inside hem, before use.
Remove as much of the barbecue sauce or solid food as possible.
Spray OxiClean™ Max Force™ Laundry Stain Remover Spray directly on the stained areas.
Wait at least 5 minutes for the solution to penetrate stain. Or saturate the stain and you may let it sit for up to 7 days before washing.
Wash with your usual detergent at the warmest water temperature recommended on care label, plus a scoop of OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover for extra stain-fighting power.

For OxiClean™ White Revive™, mix a solution of one full scoop for every gallon of water. For OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover, mix a scoop filled to line 2-4 for every gallon of water.
Submerge the stained items in the solution. Use a bucket, laundry tub, sink, or even your bathtub, depending on the size and number of items.
Soak for 1-6 hours. Extremely soiled items may require more soak time to soak.
Wash immediately as you normally would with detergent. Add a scoop of OxiClean™ to the drum with your clothes to boost cleaning power.
Remove any excess sauce or food particles from the area before treating.
Fill the scoop to line per 16Oz of water. Pour the solution into a squeeze bottle, bowl or measuring cup.
Apply only enough solution to saturate the stain, following package directions. Squirt it on or use a clean cloth or sponge to dab directly on the stain.
Allow the solution to stand 1-5 minutes. Do not allow the solution to dry on the fabric carpet.
Blot the stained area with a clean, dry towel until the stain transfers to towel. Repeat steps 2-3 until the stain is no longer visible.
Rinse the area with clean water and blot until dry.
