Your clothes aren’t the only place that can wind up with makeup stains. Your couch, car seats and seat belts are also fair game. Follow these steps to get stains out of polyester or fabric couch and your car.
1. BlotBlot up excess liquid makeup, such as foundation, concealer, or mascara. Take care not to rub or you risk pushing the makeup further into the fabric fibers. The faster you can treat the stain, the easier it will be to remove.
2. FillFill the scoop that came with your OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover to Line 1 and add it to 16 ounces of water. Make sure the powder fully dissolves.
3. ApplyDo not apply the solution directly onto the upholstery stain. Instead, apply it to a clean white cloth, and use it to blot the stain. Continue applying solution to the cloth and the cloth to the upholstery until the stain is no longer visible. Use small, gentle strokes to avoid spreading the stain. Do not allow solution to dry on fabrics.
4. Blot againOnce the stain is gone, dampen a second clean white towel with water and blot the area to rinse.

If your upholstery is removeable and machine-washable, you can also soak your fabric in OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover to remove larger stains or wash the entire fabric. Here’s how:
1. MixMix a solution of OxiClean™ Versatile Stain Remover and water. Fill the scoop to Line 2 to Line 4 per gallon of water. Follow the instructions on the package and mix until completely dissolved.
2. SoakSubmerge makeup-stained fabric or seat covers in the OxiClean™ solution and soak for 1-6 hours. For best results, soak for the full 6 hours.
3. WashAccording to the fabrics care instructions.
