How to Sanitize & Disinfect Laundry

Disinfect Laundry by Pre-Soaking

To kill bacteria, fungi and viruses†:

  1. Fill the scoop to the top once (134.7g) and add to one gallon of water.
  2. Immerse laundry for 15 minutes for bacteria and viruses†, or 30 minutes for fungi prior to starting the wash cycle.*

Sanitize & Disinfect Laundry in HE Washing Machines

OxiClean™ Laundry & Home Sanitizer is formulated to disinfect viruses†, sanitize laundry and disinfect bacteria in High-Efficiency machines.

To disinfect viruses in HE machines:

  1. Fill scoop to the top once (134.7g) before adding laundry.
  2. Add detergent as directed.
  3. Wash 15 minutes in warm water.▼


To sanitize laundry in HE machines:

  1. Fill the scoop to the top twice (269.4g) before adding laundry.
  2. Add detergent as directed.
  3. Wash 15 minutes in warm water.♦

To disinfect bacteria in HE machines:

  1. Fill the scoop to the top twice (269.4g) before adding laundry.
  2. Add detergent as directed
  3. Wash 16 minutes in hot water.♦

Sanitize Laundry in Standard Washing Machines

OxiClean™ Laundry & Home Sanitizer is formulated to sanitize laundry and for laundry virucidal action against †Influenza A in standard machines.

To sanitize laundry in standard machines:

  1. Fill scoop to the top once (134.7g) before adding laundry.
  2. Add detergent as directed.
  3. Wash 18 minutes in hot water.♦

For laundry virucidal action against †Influenza A in standard machines:

  1. Fill scoop to the top twice (269.4g) before adding laundry.
  2. Add detergent as directed.
  3. Wash 18 minutes in hot water.
